Milkshake is a sweet treat for kids, to make it healthy you have to choose your recipe. Most milkshake recipe I always see the call for ice cream and sugar, so I developed my own recipe so that my kids can enjoy what their peers are enjoying. sometimes, I use whipped cream to decorate it.
You don’t have to use same fruit as mine any fruit is fine and the mix in should be at your preference and what your kids like. Milkshake is different from a smoothie, smoothie is a meal on its own because it contains the five classes of food needed, while milkshake is a thick sweet treat.
I used coconut milk for this recipe, you can use dairy milk or any milk of your preference. You can substitute chia seed for any seed or just omit it, I use homemade protein powder but peanut butter or nut powder works fine as well. You can use an ice cube if you want it chilled.
I do pack milkshake in their lunch bag, I use to pack it in juice pack but now we have a new Popsicle mold we love.

INGREDIENTS
- 6 strawberries
- 1/4 cup frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon chia seed (optional)
- 1/4 cup protein powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
- 2 pod cardamon (optional)
- 11/2 tablespoon date paste or 5 medium date
- 1 and half cup coconut milk (any milk work)

- Add all the recipes in the blender and blitz till smooth
